Rory Kahn - Cosmetologist

Rory moved to Gunnison at sixteen. After graduating high school she attened Fort Lewis College in Durango achieving a BA in Exercise Science in 2005. She returned to Gunnison during the Summer of 2005 and worked as a receptionist for Metamorphosis Salon & Spa. She had always been interested is pursuing a career as a hair stylist and her experience working at Metamorphosis motivated her to do just that. She soon moved back to Durango to attend cosmetology school and now, Rory is back in Gunnison and working as a hair stylist. Marissa Cyrus - Make-up Artist

Marissa Cyrus started her makeup career in Orlando Fl and has been a makeup artist for over 10 years. Marissa's career has taken her to work with some of the most famous entertainment companies. Marissa has worked for Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. She has experience in T'.V., Film, Print and Bridal work. Marissa has won the highest award for customer service given by Nordstrom. She has been a manager for the following makeup line: LORAC, Stila, NARS. MAC cosmetics recruited Marissa from Nordstrom and took her to the MAC Store where she flourished and got promoted to Denver, CO where she was part of the management team of MAC Park Meadows.Marissa just finished makeup for a colorado film called Batman: April Fools. Marissa has moved to the Gunnison Valley to finish her degree and continues her passion for makeup. "Makeup isn't about covering flaws but bringing out your unique beauty and personality. Cara Apsey - Hair Stylist

Cara fell in love with the Gunnison Valley when she first came here to attend Western State. After a short move to Boulder, she had to return to the valley. Cara attended Littleton Academy of Hair Design to obtain her hairstylist license. She looks forward to her new career and furthering her knowledge and skill with continued education.

Ashley Silvis - Cosmetologist

Ashley is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan were she received her cosmetology license. After completing her training she moved to Florida to get a little sunshine and experience a new lifestyle. She recently moved to the valley with her boyfriend, who is finishing school. Ashley is very excited to work in a progressive salon where she can learn new skills to assist in the pursuit of her passion; hair styling. The artistic aspect of cosmetology is what draws her to the profession. She is a stylist and the manicurist who does natural nails. Ashley believes that working at Metamorphosis will give her the skills and experience she needs to be successful in her field and one day maybe even open her own salon.

Eva Paul - Massage Therapist

Eva’s philosophy is “if you love what you do you never go to work.” When asked why she
became a massage therapist Eva replies,” I’ve always been one, I just didn’t know it. Touching people always came naturally to me.” Eva graduated in 2009 from the Mountain Heart School of Bodywork in Crested Butte. Her passion lies in helping people when their bodies are out of balance. She believes there is more than one approach to balancing the body, mind and spirit. She uses a combination of techniques starting with a breathing exercise and including neuromuscular, assisted stretching, and visualizations for maximum benefit. These can be very beneficial and can be combined with a more traditional massage for a greater outcome. Every session is individually tailored to the guest. Eva’s approach is to assess everybody, ask questions and listen to and facilitate her clients. Eva invites you to share her passion and schedule an appointment.

Colleen Nicholas - Massage Therapist

Colleen is a Nationally Certified Therapist and has been practicing massage for seven years. She completed her professional training from The Chicago School of Massage Therapy and has since continued her education by receiving certification in Pre- and Post- Natal Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, and Positional Release from all over the country. Colleen believes her focus has been very therapeutic which has blessed her with various opportunities to work within marathons as well as other athletic events. After growing up in the ‘big city’ of Chicago she is very happy to have found the smaller towns in Colorado and has easily decided this to be her new home.

Cindy Liberton - Office Manager

Prior to arriving into the Gunnison area, Cindy spent most of her previous life in Arlington, Texas. She had a long and successful career as a banker in Texas and after moving to Colorado decided to retire from that profession. She spent the last 10 winters working and managing the seasonal flight for American Airlines which brought skiers to the Crested Butte area. In May of 2007 she started at the salon to assist Priscilla in the day to day managing of the salon and running the front desk. Cindy is looking forward to greeting all the clents who support the salon with great customer service.

Catherine Nesbitt - Receptionist

Catherine is a native to the Gunnison community. She left for one year and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango then decided to move back to pursue her college career at Western State College in Business and Economics. Catherine will graduate in May of 2011 and would love to move to the “big city” and own a restaurant with her boyfriend, Sean, or possibly continue schooling to obtain a Law degree. Catherine loves style and fashion, so working at Metamorphosis Salon and Spa is a great fit. So who knows maybe one day, our aspiring entrepreneur will own her own Salon and Spa!

Kelly Haun - Receptionist

Kelly has lived in the Gunnison Valley since 1992. She has been an active community member from working for UPS to owning her own business. She is now a full time student at Western State College and plans to graduate in December 2011 with an Environmental Studies water emphasis degree. She enjoys most outdoor recreational activities including rafting, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and ATVing to name a few. Originally from Kansas, but grew up in Texas and abroad before settling in Gunnison to fulfill her goal of graduating from college. Where to next...who knows, but she is happy to greet you at the front desk at Metamorphosis for now.
